That caused the captain to decide to return to the gate and have the plane de-iced. My only option in Amsterdam to make the connection was to run from the domestic terminal to the international one. With 5 minutes to spare, I made it on the flight! That's better luck than last time I was delayed from Brussels, when I was diverted to Minneapolis. I never thought I would see the day people applauded upon touchdown of a transatlantic flight. I took that for a strange habit of people flying to Spain on holidays. I stand corrected.
